Car Insurance Land Rover (Car Insurance). Which car would you choose?Which car would you choose? I own a 1998 Jeep Grand Cherokee with 157,000 miles on it and its the best car ever but its a gas guzzler and i end up spending $100+ a week in gas. I am thinking about purchasing a 1996 Toyota Corolla with 80,000 on it but its going to cost around $2000, when my jeep will most likely only sell for $1500. So i was wondering what other people would choose, the jeep or the toyota? A toyota with 80,000 mile on it is a steal.......at 2k. Your car at this time is worth about 2500. if in good shape. check the kbb.com. toyota is the best bet. Bad economy = Gas going up = loosing money on Jeep if your primary interest is in saving money on gas then i would get the Corolla. you will make up the 500 difference in a few months with fuel savings. it depends which area you live in and what kind of use you will have on daily basis. But going for a used vehicle, Toyota has a very good reputation. 96 corolla with only 80K miles seems hard to believe, make sure that odometer is not tempered with and get it checked properly before a purchase. The Toyota. And Umm, The Jeep is becoming one of the worst cars ever. The answer is...it depends. The truth about 10-15 year old (or older) hondas and toyotas is that they've been cheap for a while. Basically, they attract people who are cheap meaning you end up with a car that was owned by someone who took maintenance and repair as a formality. This generally means they aren't in fantastic mechanical condition when you end up with them (unless the owner actually took care of the car which is RARELY the case). So you might get better gas mileage initially but it could potentially be a money pit in the long run. Lots more than just gas comes into play. You need to buy yourself a Chevy Cavalier or a Pontiac Sunfire instead of wasting your money on a Corolla. They are better cars and they are cooler cars. It's an EASY decision. toyota Auto parts : Distributor Breaker Plate Screw Acura 1995 . Distributor Bushing Alfa Romeo 1996 . Distributor Cam Audi 1997 . Distributor Cam Lube BMW 1998 . Land Rover . How to Troubleshoot a 1989 Mercedes Benz 190E Turn SignalTroubleshooting the turn signals on your 1989 Mercedes-Benz 190E is a fairly simple process. The three main problems with any exterior light on your 190E are loose connectors, burnt-out bulbs and broken fuses. All three issues have fairly simple solutions that only require approximately 15 minutes to perform. The 190E uses 1156 NA bulbs for its turn signals, which can be purchased at most auto parts suppliers. Difficulty:Moderately Easy Instructions Things You'll Need Phillips screwdriver Replacement bulb Replacement fuse Step by Step : 1 Turn off the 190E's engine and open the hood. 2 Remove the retaining screw above the headlamp. Pull on the connector at the rear of the headlamp assembly. If the connector is loose or not connected, secure it to the assembly by firmly plugging it in. 3 Twist counterclockwise the bulb socket numbered "1." This is the turn signal bulb. Push the bulb into the socket to remove it and replace it with a new 1156 NA bulb. Place the socket back into the assembly and rotate it clockwise to secure it. If the turn signals are still malfunctioning, the problem may be with the turn signal fuse. Close the hood. 4 Open the fuse box cover on the driver's side of the instrument panel. Use a screwdriver to remove the fastener on the cover. Locate the fuses labeled "R HEAD LMP" and "L HEAD LMP." These are the right and left headlamp fuses. If the metal piece inside either fuse is broken, it will have to be replaced. 5 Pull the fuse out and replace it with a new 15A fuse. Replace the cover on the fuse box and close the door.
Land Rover . How to Repair the Turn Signal & Flashing Hazard Switch on a 1995 Silverado TruckThe turn signal and hazard flasher switch on a 1995 Silverado truck gives you instant control of the turn signals and hazard flashers. The turn signal stalk juts from the side of the steering column and the hazard flasher button protrudes from the top. Both the stalk and switch are part of the turn signal switch assembly, often called a multifunction switch. If the switch malfunctions, you'll need to replace it immediately, as the switch is not serviceable. You can replace the turn signal and hazard flasher switch on your 1995 Silverado if you have basic auto-repair skills. Difficulty:Moderately Challenging Instructions Things You'll Need Trim tool Phillips screwdriver Step by Step : 1 Remove the upper steering column trim cover by prying it loose with the trim tool. Pull the cover off by hand, and set it aside. 2 Disconnect the Silverado's steering column harness from the turn signal and hazard flasher switch by hand. 3 Remove the turn signal and hazard flasher retaining screw with the Phillips screwdriver. 4 Remove and replace the Silverado's turn signal and hazard flasher by hand. 5 Thread the retaining screw into the Silverado's new turn signal and hazard flasher switch by hand. Tighten the screw with the Phillips screwdriver. 6 Plug the Silverado's steering column harness into the new turn signal and hazard flasher switch by hand. Reinstall the steering column trim cover by hand. *To find a rectangular air cleaner, follow the large air inlet hose away from your engine. If you'd like to remove the air cleaner to take a look at the air filter inside it or the parts underneath it, follow the simple instructions in Chapter 13. Inside the air cleaner is an air filter that removes dirt and dust particles before they can get into the fuel injectors or carburetor. To keep your car functioning efficiently, be sure to change the air filter at least once a year or every 20,000 miles, whichever comes first — more often if you've been driving in a dusty or sandy area. Chapter 13 can help you judge whether an air filter needs to be changed and shows you how to do this surprisingly easy job. q the Fuel through Carbureted Vehicles Most vehicles employ one of two popular — but very different — types of fuel systems: Many older cars have carburetors, while most newer vehi 295

Some cars — especially foreign cars and sports cars — have more than one carburetor. Vehicles with fuel injection or diesel engines have none, but they do have air cleaners. Figure 6-1 shows both a carbureted and a fuel-injected system. With both systems, the fuel may start out in the same place (the fuel tank) and end up in the same place (the engine), but the path it takes varies quite a bit depending on whether your vehicle has a carburetor or fuel injectors. In this section, I explain what happens to the fuel once it passes through the basic elements of the fuel system (discussed in the preceding section, "Basic Fuel System Components") in a carbureted vehicle. The main job of the carburetor, shown in Figure 6-3, is to mix the proper pro portions of air and fuel together and pass them along in the proper quantity to the engine. In the following sections, I explain how the various compo nents of the carburetor work together to accomplish this feat. The float bowl Air travels down the carburetor barrel, and on its way, it passes a small pipe that leads to a fuel reservoir called a float bowl. The float bowl is a small chamber located in the carburetor (see Figure 6-4). It contains a small Land Rover . What are the car repossession laws in Kentucky?
